Negative Converter Is Now on the Mac App Store

NeoAnalogLab Inc. has released Negative Converter, our film negative conversion app, on the Mac App Store.

It takes scanned film negatives all the way from orange mask removal through color adjustment to final export, right on your Mac. The download is free — no watermarks, no subscriptions.

What Negative Converter Does

  • Three negative types: Converts C-41 color negatives, black-and-white negatives, and positive slides.
  • 37 film profiles: Profiles modeled on classic color and black-and-white stocks.
  • RAW and 16-bit support: Reads CR2 / NEF / ARW / DNG / RW2 / iPhone ProRAW, plus 16-bit PNG, TIFF, and JPEG.
  • Serious adjustment tools: RGB gain, CMY balance, tone curves, exposure, contrast, vibrance, and eyedropper white balance.
  • Batch processing: Open entire folders and apply settings across multiple frames at once.
  • Film edge rendering: Recreate film borders with sprocket holes, frame numbers, and DX codes.

Everything Stays on Your Machine

Your photographs are never uploaded to the cloud. All processing happens locally on your Mac, so your negatives stay yours.

Negative Converter requires macOS 10.15 or later. A web version you can try right in your browser is also available.
